So I have an army which comprises of the hereoes Khamul w/ Fell Beast, The Dwimmerlaik w/ Horse, Amdur w/ Armoured Horse, and Shagrat Warleader. Which of those, from a competitive standpoint, would be the best leader? My think is either The Dwimmerlaik or Shagrat, but I can't choose which and need some third party opinions.

Shagrat would be good as he has all the 3's in the right places, but he will of course be in the thick of it. The Dwimmerlaik, on the other hand, will be kept mostly out of combat lending all this magic and special rules to my army, but is a whole lot more vulnerable than Shagrat.

Thanks for any advice. :)

with only 4 models, it is inpossible to keep the dwimmerlaik out of combat and have him within 6 inch. so I would not take him as your leader. With an all hero force, you need to make your strongest and most durable hero as leader. I would take shagrat as he has allways 3 attacks and is an absolute beast.

Both Harbinger of Evil and Sap Fortitude have a 12" radius. So that gives him a bit more wiggle room. Unless you were meaning so he could participate in herioc actions?

Oh, 12" is nice. Was thinking sap fortitude was only 6".
It could be possible to keep him out of combat then, and make him your leader.
But you still need to be carefull with that.
So both heroes are possible in my opinion.

I personally would always take your most durable hero (shagrat) thanks to some rather nasty occurrences in the past involving 2 eagles hurling and barging through an army to get to legolas. But now I always take Gil-Galad and he is always my leader and he has never once died.

Khamul all the way - he can fly away if things look nasty - Shagrat can get bogged down easily as an infantry model innit x
