So have a tournament coming up and I came up with this list...

Warband 1
Knight of Umbar w. fellbeast
6 x watchers of karna w. bow
4 x haradrim w. spear
2 x serpent guard

Warband 2
Golden King of Abrakhan
6 x abrakhan guard
6 x haradrim w. bow + spear

Warband 3
Witch-king of Angmar (2/10/2)
2 x spectres

Model count - 29!

As you can probably see this list is all about controlling my opponent. The KoU with his fellbeast will be used for assasinations on high priority targets (leaders etc) and the witch-king will use his extra will to ensure immobilize etc. and even use drain courage to help my spectres move even more models. And finally ive got my golden king to make other models run when they break with his special rule.

Wanted to know what people thought? and what tweaks you would make? at 29 models its an insanely low model count for a low defence army, but this list is all about getting straight into combat early!

is this 650pts?

need a twitch in there for the point army list....you want to manipulate oponents there are far less expensive options over combo knight of Umbar/witch king, which I think might be a bad combinations....

your list moves bettewn trickery and deceit so I would recommend the following:

warband 1
The Betrayer on armoured horse
6 serpent riders
6 haradrim raiders with bow

Warband 2
The Golden King of Abrakhan
3 Abrakhan merchant guards
7 Serpent guard

Warband 3
Haradrim Taskmaster
11 Watchers of Karna with bow

650pts

Far deadlier with poison, alot bows in the army

Control/assassination list

Warband 1
The Golden King of abrakhan
7 castellans of umbar

Warband 2
Ringwraith (1/12/2) on horse
2 specters

warband 3
Hasharin
12 haradrim warriors(50/50)

warband 4
Haradrim taskmaster
12 haradrim warriors(50/50)

645pts
models:37

Terror List

Warband 1
Shadowlord on armoured steed
10 Black numenorians

Warband 2
Dwimmerlaik on armoured steed
11 black numenorians

warband 4
Shade
6 specters

649
models: 30

this last one is particular very nasty, its melee one but its very hard to hit both in melee and shooting, and above all an heroe store points sinker :P
Also its a terror army, everything cause terror a good portion is a controler list and a courage drainer soo :P

Other than the lack of bows, that last list is just nasty if you don't have to split up.

Thanks for the ideas man, it's actually 600 points. Think I'm going to add some castellans in there to add done defence.

So you're going to add points Heavy units to a already small army? *facepalm*

Lol that army has good offensive potential but I wouldn't count on being able to do much controlling. At best it's 4 units per turn, in all likelihood it'll only be 1-2. Even Dwarves will have a good shot at outnumbering your forces. And if you're not winning fights your army will break quickly. Those are just my concerns

only way for you counter having small army its like what I mentioned above, having shadowlord/shade and a good fightvalue/terror units(the better) they are 9pts each numenorian and seems not the enemy have -1 ld already cause of the nazguls aura and only way this army gonna get through its staying together and working as one..

If you have multiple shades could work, the trick i nhere is that you need to know where to point this army at according to mission.

Dwimmerlaik its another nastiness added for another more annoying stuff since only heroes (generally) can buff his rolls of 6s to an actually 6 nearby a shade, you can make this guy having a 12" effect staying nearby/bit distance and on a 4+ the heroe need to spend an extra point of any source, this can be particular effective for example to take out an entire might store of a troll chieftain or draining badly a 3might point heroe (as you can use your own dwimmerlaik might to ensure you roll a 4+...

Definitely way too few units. Id chop that army up.

All I would do is concentrate all my killing power on your watchers, Abrakhan Guard, and haradrim. Id break you before you broke me, even if my heros died.

Personally, I dont like the Knight of Umbar the Most. The Witch King maxed out on fell beast alone is more than enough. With him I killed plenty of 100 pt and under heros in one turn or at least put them out of commission for a few turns.

I know it can be hard or costly to get them, but if you put in more watchers, or even half trolls(which will keep your numbers low but provide the offense your force desperately need) youd be better.

Literally, I took an army the other day, and it was insanely good....

Bo Sun
12 reavers

Chieftan
12 half trolls

Chieftan
7 harad spears

Taskmaster
12 Watchers

I know its not what you are looking for but offensively it provided enough punch to knock through Isengard def and fury, and Gondorian armor.

My suggestion running with your theme is:
Witch King(and whatever you can add to make him cost around 155-175)
2 spectres

Golden King
6 abrakhan
6 haradrim with bow/spear

Harad Taskmaster
some half trolls/more watchers

Whatever equates to 600

That way you get extra might, more offense, and still have plenty of spell power.

Hell if youre feeling it, throw in a few more shades.....

Yeah, but Reavers, Half-trolls and Watchers of Karna aren't generally what you call fun or fair for the other player...

Neither is Aragorn the King, Fountain/Citadel guard who are fearless when you bring terror units, Uruk Hai Fury, Uruk Crossbows, etc. Theres a lot in the game thats a pain to play against but it all balances out.

Especially when my heros were Bo sun with 0 might, 2 chieftans, and my leader was a taskmaster. They went up against Aragorn the King, maxed out Faramir, Vrasku the sniper, and the Shadowlord.

It just depends on how you play. Ive been just as frustrated playing against all Goblins.

I get what youre saying, but besides the half trolls my whole army's defense was 4. The game all balances itself out. I didnt get any watcher bows, and their special rules never came into play.

Fair? I payed almost 25 points for each of the half trolls.....lol and I had to charge across an open field when the crossbows only needed a 4+ to kill my units. Its pretty much fair when everyone has the same points value.

I've only ever played 1 army in all of my time playing that Ive ever found to be something Id never voluntarily play against again.

But all that regardless on topic....I only suggested for him to get a few more watchers or half trolls. I didnt suggest his whole army to change as you can clearly see in my post.
