So Far I Have
10 uruk hai pikemen
10 uruk hai swordsmen
2 uruk hai captins
Saruman
Grima
12 warg riders
4 spear
4 sword
4 bow
I have mordor units added in two so with those I have
1 mordor troll
36 orc warriors
2 archers
4 spear
2 two handed
28 sword
12 moranon orcs
gorbag
shagrat
gothmog on warg

Besides these I have a balrog

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I should get next or units that would be helpful to my army. I looking to build my evil army to about 3000 points and have about 1702.

Well what to get next depends on where you want to go. If your going for effectiveness, then you will want crossbows and berserkers. No Isengard army is complete without these. I highly recommend those above all. Also get Vrasku if you go for Crossbows.

If you want more of a fun list, then I recommend going either speed heavy with scouts and Mauhur, or get some demolition teams for blowing up front ranks. If used correctly, it is very easy to bomb an opponents front line for some fun devastation.

If you want to go really crazy, then get 3 more captains like Lurtz and ugluk, put them in the front with pikes behind them and have them Heroic Combat the enemy like crazy to crush through thier battlelines. This is a tactic that a player known as Blackmist used to devastating effect

A 3000 point army is quite large! But if you're aiming for that I'd recommend (as mentioned before) Vrasku and crossbowmen as top priority. Their long range punch is very useful.
After that Berserkers and lots and lots of armored Uruk-hai and several Uruk-hai shamen. This will need to make up the bulk of your army for Isengard to be most effective.

I wouldn't recommend Demolitions crews, they're worthless outside of siege missions or vs Smaug, its difficult to get them into position against a battle line without sacrificing huge amounts of your own troops as well

What do you mean by speed heavy scouts are they faster then regular uruk hai. Out of those strategy's the one about using ugluck and lurts to pull off tones of heroic combats seems the best. I would go for bezerkers and crossbowmen but they are typically very expensive I've seen four go for over 30 on eBay.

Mauhur is a special character that grants extra speed to scouts for a price to the scout.

they were probably the Metal ones, which are now out of production. The resin berserkers are, brand new, half that price.

Have you played a lot of games? Just trying to get an idea of your experience level because 3000 points is a HUGE game of SBG

Berserkers are relatively cheap on eBay, ferrals on the other hand gone for ££££s.

Best bet is to watch a few and try your luck :-)

Im slowly building my army The largest I've played is about 1100 point but its not like im planning to buy all these figures right away. My goal is to have that many points worth buy this time next year. I already have 1700 and am not planning to buy more till probably march unless I see some really good deal. I have a medium amount of experience about the game. I mean i've probably played about 20 games and i've been playing for a few months now. The reason I don't play more is that I don't really have a place to play at. However I convinced two of my friends to play as well so I play against them as much as I can.

Usually I find the metal Berserkers sell at about 3/4 the retail price of Finecast...

Just based off of what you said in your other topic, get the Shadow Lord or put him on a fell beast, armored, and then get as many x bows as you can to shoot his riders of rohan to pieces.

Since youre not playing warbands rules, buy 20-30 X bows and watch how quickly he changes his tactics of hanging back when all of his horses and half his people are wounded on 4s.
