| Post subject: | Vault Wardens in 750 points |
I'd like a bit of advice on making a mainly vault wardens based army. I have the models to make up 12 teams but I am struggling to fit these into a 750 point army. Everything I come up with seems to end up lacking in bows a little bit so I may discount them Completely! I'm also trying to include a banner in each warband, but not sure if it's a waste of points. Made a couple of lists and not sure which to use. FORCES OF GOOD Durin's Folk ---- Warband 1 10/12 Gimli, son of Glóin 1 Dwarf Warrior with Shield; Banner; 4 Dwarf Warrior with Dwarf bow; 5 Khazâd Guard ---- Warband 2 12/12 King's Champion & Heralds 5 Vault Warden ---- Warband 3 11/12 Dain Ironfoot, King of Erebor 1 Dwarf Warrior with Shield; Banner; 5 Vault Warden ---- 749 points 36 models FORCES OF GOOD Durin's Folk ---- Warband 1 12/12 Dain Ironfoot, King of Erebor 6 Vault Warden ---- Warband 2 12/12 Gimli, son of Glóin 12 Khazâd Guard ---- Warband 3 12/12 King's Champion & Heralds 5 Vault Warden ---- 747 points 39 models |

A banner a warband is way too much and basically a waste of points. One banner per army is fine for under 1000 pts, but the Kings champion comes with two, which is still useful. |

I had thought the same, I'm wondering about the usefulness of Dwarf archers weighed up against points spent on more hard hitting high defence elite troops like the wardens and the Khazad. |
