Heey Guys and Girls, I'm playing in the Rotterdam Hobbit League. Last season I ended up being 12 out of 20 with a Ghan-buri-Ghan with ent and hobbits list. This time I'm going for somewhat the same stuff. So here is my list. Tips and help are very much welcome! Warband 1: Treebeard 10x woses Ent Warband 2: Captain of erebor with shield 8x warriors of erebor with shield 1x warrior of erebor with banner Warband 3: Oin the dwarf on a pony |

I played it in three games now and won two of them! Only playing a draw on the third game. It's very effective. In the first game i played domination against the witchking on foot with a couple of ringwraiths. It wasn't really hard to play against. I tried to focus on 1 ringwraith per round. The second game was against a urukhai sxout army and we played to the death. It was very close. The only mistake i made was splitting the ents from the dwars. The ents had no trouble at all but the dwarfs and woses were surrounded fast. The banner died and was unable to pass it on. The last game was against the white council. Legolas, galadriel, elrond and leader saruman were a real challange. In the end when i got close to them, i tried the same as with the ringwraits. One by one killing them with dwarfs and woses spear support. The ents trew rocks like never before. Rolling 6's. Saruman is not great at all in close combat. Oin only had to renew one wound on the ent when the game was already won at the time. Not sure about him in the list but the ents didnt face any big threata so far. |

Congrats on your wins with a very interesting list, never faced anything like it before so I may not be the best person to ask for help. However, two things that stick out for me is the Captain and the ent. Treebeard is a beast and has all the monstrous killing power you could wish for, I don't feel it's completely necessary to have a normal ent as well. Perhaps drop the Ent and use the points to upgrade the captain to Dwalin, another combat beast. This will have your opponent struggling to decide whether to try to stop Treebeard or Dwalin, a very unpleasant choice if you ask me. Use the rest of the points to add models to both of your warbands and possibly add another Thorin's Company hero. Then have Oin between Treebeard and Dwalin to heal whichever's getting wounded. For example: W1: Treebeard (Leader) 11 Woses Warriors W2: Dwalin 1 Warrior of Erebor with Banner and Shield 11 Warriors of Erebor with Shield W3: Oin on Pony and Dori (another decent 3A hero) 600 points Hope this helps and good luck! |
