So I've been thinking about White Council lists and wondering what combo will be best. Never played all heroes so any feedback is great.

Here is what I've come up with for possibilities.

Army 1:
Saruman the White on horse
Glorfindel with armor
Legolas with cloak

Army 2:
Galadriel Lady of Light
Elrond Lord of the West
Legolas with Armor

Army 3:
Galadriel Lady of Light
Saruman the Wise
Legolas with armor and cloak

Which do you think is best? What would you change? What list would you make instead? Let me know. Thanks.

You have a great wizard, a combat maniac, and a pesky good archer who can also fight a bit.
If you could change a little of something Id say do the newest Legolas and Saruman and see what else you could fit in. But maybe thats too many points. Id say list one.

For one, with Galadriel and Saruman in the same army, they have no power.
And Elrond and Legolas both arent strong enough, so Id rule them out.

I wanna see how elrond lord of the west isn´t strong enough.... mind you hes exactly like glorfindel with the following exception:
- dont have resistant to magic.
- cant take horse, but he doesnt included horse up there anyway
- elrond is considerably more expensive

what he gain:
- got magic: can heal wounds and aoe bomb "farts" like thranduil
- re-roll fate points
- free heroic strike at every fight... so hes at the same fight value as Glorfindel in a very bad roll, if not best most of the times(and thats 90%)...
- causes terror (you didnt thought of that hey?)

I was thinking that Elrond is good too, however by taking list 2 I sacrific a long of my ranged threat with not having the 4+ blast. which is better? Picking off stuff with range until my weaker heroes can handle combat or less range but less fear of combat?

Ha-ha I may have been or may not but that doesn't change the fact that Elrond costs a lot more and Gil Galad can take the spear that gives +1 to wound. Extremely vital.

Also I didn't see him not have a horse I thought he would have a horse unfortunately.

Well diference is that Gil Galad aint part of the white council :P
And elrond got a thing Gil Galad wished to have.... 3 Fate with re.rolls and renew magic... jsut by that elrond is an awesome tank despite his average S value its weak/random for a model with 130pts + should be...

In case of doubt Rambo... try all these lists and try another 1

Try white council with all the cheapest heroes possible, erestor, cirdan, leggy thran, arwen and such...

Yeah Galanur when I read Glorifindel I was thinking Gil Galad the whole time. I mix those two up when reading all the time despite the fact I know both of their characters and profiles well.

that explains it...yes indeed Gil Galad got the punch Elrond dont have and its significantly more sturdy (a steroid version of a foot knight of rivendell with the lance effect guy)

I thought about using the cheap ones but there is no way that I've seen to get close to the points and not waste some.
