how well does it run as its own force? so if i had gandulf boromir aragorn legolas and gilmli for a 650 pts can they hold there own vsing a force with that much of points?

If you can use your range well and use your might effectively as well I think so. I think it gets more challenging the higher the point cost because the odds just get worse for you and your heroes just have so many models to kill.
