Trying to throw something new together for an upcomming local tournament. So I was working on some Rangers of Gondor, and quickly decided that I wanted to use them, and buildt the rest from there. This is was I ended with: Madril, Captain of Ithilien 8 Ithilien Guard with Shield; Spear; 4 Ranger of Ithilien with Spear; Haldir with Armour; Elf bow; 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Elf bow; Spear 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield; Spear; 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Elven blade; Galadriel, Lady of Light 500 pts - 27 models So what du you guys think about this? Secondly I might need to expand on this list, up to 600 and even 700 points. But I'm having trouble deciding on how to proceed, any and all input is much appriciated. Cheers. |

I would swap 4 of the spears on the ithilien guard for shields on the galadhrim with elven blades because I'm pretty sure a box of galadhrim warriors has the option for 8 shields. |

If you really want your Ithilien Rangers in there I'd go all-in for the shooting. Swap out Haldir for Legolas; his Deadly Shot rule beats Haldir's by a country mile. You might have to drop a model or two so you can buy his Elven Cloak, that's his key upgrade. I'd personally also drop Galadriel unless you know you're going to be playing good versus evil games. Perhaps spend the points on a cheap Minas Tirith hero like Damrod (keeping to the Ranger theme) and as many models as you can buy. |

For 500 points (27 models) Minas Tirith ---- Damrod, Ranger of Ithilien 6 Ithilien Guard with Shield; 1 Ithilien Guard with Shield; Spear; 1 Ithilien Guard with Shield; Banner; 4 Ranger of Ithilien with Spear; ---- Lothlórien and Mirkwood ---- Legolas with Armour; Elven cloak; 6 Wood Elf Warrior with Wood Elf spear; 4 Wood Elf Warrior with Elf bow; Wood Elf spear; 2 Guard of the Galadhrim Court ---- the White Council ---- Galadriel, Lady of Light |
