I've recently started painting up a Mordor army and I'm looking for some solid advise on list building. I really like the Mordor look and feel and this is currently the models I got:

The Dark Marshall (ft/mtd) - Can pass as any ring wraith I suppose.

I know it might not be the most competitive lists but I think they're quite thematic and pretty straight forward to play.

Your two cents about any improvements or things to take into consideration would be greatly appreciated. I'll throw up a WIP-log shortly

A few separated notes...

I would also use the Dark Marshal, not Dwimmerlake, as u happen to own it Dark now. Both are good. Ofc, when enemy has a full hero list, u gonna miss Dwimmerlake... ^^

Black Guard of Barad Dur are rly good units. But as banner, its not very useful. As Banner gives minuses to hitting, and the hp of barad dur is also a bit weaker side.

The combination of Morannon orcs spears + black guard... It's cool, in fact u could use morannons forward, until u reach enemeis just put black guards forward... As morannons are cheaper flesh shield, and u will anyways need just a couple spears likely.

Dark Marshal works best with a lot units which it offers the banner. You should keep him in mid of your troops. Dark Marshal in this point size game is good for saving a lot points from banner.

Troll chieftain is awesome, but combination of named ringwraith + Dark is quite pricy. I guess wisest thing to do now is... to use either troll or nazgul in army list, and then do rest of army tough elite forces containing morannons, black guards, maybe a few morgul knights if slot.

Both lists are really good! Though 2 banners might be exaggerating in the Troll Chieftain list, u could drop another (from black guard) and add 3 more morannons! It might be hard to protect 2 flags in this relative small army.
