I have a feeling it will be similar to Combat Hex if you know what that is, I'm sure SuicidalMarsbar knows a bit more about the game.

How the game works is that each model has a dial displaying their stats (speed, defence. attack and damage) whenever they take a point of damage they turn the models dial by 1 for each click of damage the model takes. There are colour coded abilities on each models dial which change depending on what part of the dial your on. I.E: The Hulk starts off very weak, but once he has taken some damage, his stats increase alot.

The rules (and all the stats) are available for FREE on the wizkids website if you want to take a look, wizkids are a much much better company than GW because they actually care about their community, the amount of free resources they have is astonoshing. Im really looking forward to this release, i can't wait to pitch captain america against a cave troll! Or maybe create a team from Jun (from halo reach) Lurtz and Cyclops from X-men, i highly recommend you all purchase some heroclix, its great fun and works best if you have a large group of people playing (unlike sbg/wotr...)

Do you add a touch-up of paint to your Heroclix, or leave them as is? If I were to get Heroclix, I might dab into Halo and/or Gears of War, but I'd definitely re-paint them.

Apart from powering up when they weakened, it does sound like Combat Hex.

I'm assuming that's just a special ability for The Hulk...

Well depending on what model your using, the statline differs. I could give many examples of creative use of the stat dial. From what I remember combat hex was a great game but it wasn't quite as in depth as heroclix.

Jamros I leave them as they are, I did convert alot of my haloclix marines into odst's but that was about it....

I picked up some of the gears of war heroclix mini's today, very nice quality, even the painting was relatively high standard, i got Skorge and a Locust drone, i think the quality of the human mini's are a bit worse tho...

For a fun update, i bought another 2 gears of war booster's recently and i got ANOTHER Skorge and Drone, the drone is fine, i like having an army but considering skorge is meant to be super rare im kinda bummed that i got him twice :(

From what I gather is that the minis are pretty crummy but I still want to order a starter for Christmas so I can covert the "Olog Hai" as they call it,into another Troll type/kind/unit/w/e for LotR TMG (only system I play for LotR).GLYASDI --Nate--

Wouldn't the scale be really off?

Thanks for the pic...but I meant the scale between Heroclix and the old LotR Tradeable Miniatures. LotR TMG was set at 40mm, while Heroclix are 30ishmm in scale.

But the "Olog-hai" mini would be around the size of a small troll in 40mm so that is about all the potential I can see for myself with this. --Nate--

anyone still into heroclix? Saw some random packages of the hobbit today, and took a gamble and got legolas and one of those elves guards. They only got those random packs at the store here. So i have gotten quite curious to rules and playing.
Also wondering how big the chance would be to have a double one... i like the suprise but i don't feel anything for like having 3 - 4 legolas guys.
