Post subject:  Questions regarding Thomarillion Products

Am I imagining things or did members of the One Ring (or possible The Last Alliance) get a discount when ordering products from Thomarillion? I'm going to place an order in the next few days for a few items that I've had my eyes on and I'd like to save a bit if I can help it.

Second question - has anyone ordered from them shipping to the US? I'm wondering what I'm going to get charged for shipping and how well the products will be packaged.

Third question - the "Ceramic Head" model seen here:

Is this "based" off an image from LOTR? It looks so familiar but I'm trying to remember if there was a scene (or cut scene) where this type of ruin was in the background.

Thanks!

Hey Brent,

I've never ordered from Thormallion, but as far as I know no discount is offered, but I'm not positive.

As for their shiping rates, from what I've read it seems to vary upon the country and the size of the order, so you may not be able to get a concrete answer on that one. Here's a link which may have some useful information for you, http://www.thomarillion.de/index.php?se ... 95be70cc57 .

As for the head, it appears to be based upon a fallen ruin at Amon Hen. If my memory serves me, Boromir confronts Frodo about the Ring near this falen statue head.

Hope this helps you. :)

Yep that's it! I did a quick look at the framecap Libraray and saw the fallen head statue there. Thanks!

I have that head and a lot of other Thomarillion items (unassembled and unpainted  ) I like the ceramic pieces - very well made, clean and not overly heavy, which is surprising. I have had discounts from them. Now Ireland is only a few hundred miles from Germany, as the Nazgul flies, and both are in the EU, so I know nothing of costs and so forth relating to postage to the US - though I can say they pack lots of corrugated card and newspaper around all the pieces to protect them - no breakages at all!

Thanks Dorth. I'm going to put together and order and see what they come back with. Too bad I didn't do this last week when I was in Germany. I probably could have timed it so that I could receive them locally and then carried them home!!

Just placed my order for a whole bunch of items. I asked to see if they could provide any discount. We'll see what happens. I am looking forward to using these to spruce up some gaming table terrain.

Hi,
I placed an order about a week ago for a few things but haven't heard back regarding total costs or how to pay.
They are still trading aren't they?
Pinky.

They certainly are still trading. I recieved an order of ceramic goodies last week.

Thomas has been very busy with trade shows/conventions recently.

TLA used to recieve a 10% discount for members (I'm not sure at the moment).
I believe returning customers may recieve a discount.

Postage to me is quite expensive but then I do live on the other side of the world in Australia (I've gotten used to more expensive postage).

I made this piece straight away and we used it at a tournament on the weekend.

Yes, I'm in negotiations with Thomas as well right now. There was a snafu with the ordering page but I've got my order in process. I'm expecting a very sizable order including that ceramic head. Thanks for posting Onyx!

I received my order from Thomarillion yesterday. I must say, I'm very impressed with teh quality of the sculpts and casts. All my pieces were very well packaged and arrived in the US without any damage. I would whole-heartedly recommend their products.

Glad to hear you had a good experience, Brent. I've had my eye on some of their terrain pieces for quite some time; I just haven't gotten around to placing an order yet.
