I was hoping nobody on here had seen it :D Checked just then and it's no longer available. I suppose somebody contacted the seller with an offer they couldn't refuse!

No longer available because someone made an offer outside Ebay? If this is true, then we have all been denied a chance to bid on this item, a clear violation of Ebay policies.

I was only speculating before about the seller offloading it outside ebay. It could also be a fake who knows.

I'd already placed a bid so have sent a message asking for an explanation but so far haven't heard anything back. Will let you guys know if I find out anything.

Perry,

You should file a complaint with Ebay on this. It is quite obvious that he sold this item off Ebay. Chances are that the person who made an offer also paid with Paypal, so this should be an transaction to find by Ebay authorities.

I would have bid myself had the model still been available, and imagine several others of us that are in this Forum would have too.

Not too cool to put it up and not allow us to bid on it.

yeh bit s***ty that he let it go out of auction, would of been interesting to see how much it would've gone for.
cleary some went all godfather on him though!!!!

When the auction was pulled I was the lead bidder, and I had a substantial back-up bid on the auction . . . waited two years for this opportunity. Very frustrating.

*Edit: I just received a message on ebay. He took it down as he got inundated with offers. He is putting it back up on ebay and will notify me when it placed there. To the victor shall go the spoils. Happy bidding all. At least we have not lost the opportunity. Get ready for a blood bath.

Oooh, this is fishy. Why take it down because of side offers if you weren't planning on taking one of them? Good luck to you all, but I'd be wary and make sure he still has the item(s) before payment is made.

If several of you are getting the very same message, then it really sounds bad to me.

I think you all should file a complaint, as I have now done. The more complaints Ebay gets the more (and faster), they will look into it. Chances are that there is past messages from the buyer to the seller, and a Paypal transaction that Ebay can dig up.

Ebay will then take action. His account may be suspended, or he will be made to relist the item.

Brian I'm not sure filing a report is the way to go here. This model is incredibly rare as we are all aware and the seller has assured me that he still has it and will NOT be selling it privately against ebays rules. He panicked when the bidding started to go higher than he could have ever imagined and was inundated with in his eyes crazy offers to buy outright - hence he pulled the listing to research what he actually had there. I myself have leaned on him to try to get him to part with it but he is adamant it must be fair for all and that he will relist the model. He will message all concerned beforehand. Yes I agree it is annoying as we have all hunted this model for a long time but i feel that filing numerous ebay reports will just antagonise the seller and he is under no obligation to sell or relist the model. Don't get his back up lets just see what happens ....

Never knew that was a rare model.
A friend of mine bought some really old models lately like 10 are Mordor Uruk-Hai I think.

Like the good friend I am I informed him about his possible hidden treasure :P
