Mine was inexplicably $23.99 rather than $39.99 to boot. The store I got it from has since corrected the price though.

Five models and a drum for $30 (with tax), not bad. Not great either, but $6 bucks a piece, not bad....

I had a really faulty arm on my goblin captain and went into the store to swap him out. We opened two boxes and couldn't find a perfect one. He said he courld order one to take care of it but I offered that if he gave me the open ones I could piece together a perfect model via amputation and reattachment of the good pieces. I took home my faulty one and both boxes of the other goblins as the exchange. 12 goblin commanders for the price of 4. Good customer service and sent me home happy even though I have to do a minor amount of work to get a perfect captain. Unfortunately for me we found a good dwarf commander on my first swap and he only gave me the replacement . . . did even get to keep the old faulty one (not that I really wanted it anyway as the face was a mess).

Yeah I also thought that box was great value, 5 goblins + drum instead of the 4 figs you get in all the other packs. In addition, when they first came out in the UK the goblin box was only £20 (compared to £24 for all the other FC commanders boxes) so the figs were £4 each even without counting the drum. They 'fixed' that in the June price increase to bring it in line with the other boxes but it was damn good value for a few months there (particularly considering the metal goblin shamans were £7.70 each as memory serves!).

Just followed a link from Maelstrom Games website to that for Mierce Miniatures, where they have a page on "how to prepare resin miniatures":

They're up-front about the risk of getting bubbles in resin models, but do offer alot more advice than GW on how to address (and on preparing models generally. Maybe if GW were as honest about potential flaws then their customers would be slightly less disgruntled?

Whilst I was there I checked out their forthcoming Darkland wargame. Could be interesting?
