Hi i have just started kingdoms of men and i don't know what to choose for an minas tirith army i already have boromir and 12 warriors but i dont know what to choose i preferably would want a good army to beat wood elves :roll:

You'll want more of the basic WoMTs, as they will form the core of your army. Against elves, you need a way to get to them, as they will try to sit back and pincushion you so cavalry may be a good addition. On the other hand, if you are playing densely forested terrain, your cavalry will never catch the buggers.

Have I mentioned I hate playing against elves? :D

You will want a way to stop them from taking you out at a ranged distance because of their very good archery attributes, and being at defense 3, should not be a hard job. Just make sure to have men who can withstand a few arrows hitting them. For example, normal Minas Tirith foot warriors with shields should be able to hold the line while your more elite choices swoop in and take them out. This will be irritating for me as i am a wood elf player ;)

Depends on what size game. If it is a large game of may e 750 + points take boromir, but in a smaller game take maybe a captain or a named hero with low point cost.

Faramir is always a good choice. He's on the cheap end of the scale and still has a good amount of killing power and staying power, especially with a shield.

Agreeing with Drauglin- also, if you can, use rangers instead of WMT for your archers- they die just as easily to elven fire, but will hit more often. You need to have folks on hand to hold their heroes in place long enough for your troops to hit the enemy- you will wound them better than they'll wound you, but the elven captains could put a crimp in your day due to their higher strength.

Thank you for the help but i have another question sorry for all the question what against uruk'hai because i was thinking of getting faramir with rangers of gondor and boromir with warriors of minas tirith and damrod with another troop of warriors of minas tirith and then 2 avengers bolt throwers i dont know whether it wipl work so that is why i am asking on this

Against uruk-hai you will have to focus the efforts of your heroes- you need people like Faramir and Boromir to be cutting up the regular guys rather than wailing on the captains. I'm not fond of bolt throwers, mainly because I like mobility and they are a pain to have to redeploy, but others might like them more. Basically, against uruk-hai your regulars have difficulty going toe-to-toe with them, so focus the efforts of your heroes.

Actually, Bolt Throwers will help you thin the ranks of the uruks before they get to you, D6 str7 shots (double cause you have 2 of them) will be really effective against a pike block.

Make sure you take swift realoding though cause it really helps them out.
