Hi I am looking at starting a LOTR SBG army, (to play with a few friends) I have my eye on a Dwarf army, (Gimli is awesome!) I am not sure of the requirements to start the army? (Force Organisation Chart from Warhammer 40k springs to mind) Also how many points is this? Gimli (single model) Dwarf Warriors (twelve models) These two sets come from the games workshop website and I would like to know if these two sets are a good place to start? If the total points is a untidy number what would you recommend to boost it up to a decent number (ie: 100, 200, 300) All replies much appreciated - Thanks |

it is around 200pts if my maths serves my correctly. For Lotr there is no force organisation as such. Each model moves independantly. However, your army must be divided into warbands which is 1 hero and 12 troops. I would recommend picking up the free peoples sourcebook as that will give you about 50% of the knowledge on how to play. I'd say 500pts is a nice skirmish number, a game that size should take you no longer than a hour really. |
