Hello, I hope I'm posting in the right area.
Just a question which came up the other night. A troll and Thrain were having a fight and the troll tries to hurl Thrain. When we rolled to compare strengths it was a tie...so as there was no mention I could find on how to deal with the tie we backed Thrain away for lossing the fight and then called it quits as the troll had failed to summon enough strength to chuck the chunky little king. Does this sound right.

Thanks

Sarge

I don't have the book on me, but that's not how Hurl works if I remember correctly. You roll a dice and add the difference between the monsters strength and the enemies strength. So he would be thrown at least 3 inches + a d6.

I don't know if I'm even following properly what you're describing. Did you first roll to determine the winner?
If the monster wins he can elect to use the special hurl attack and rolls a dice and adds it to his strength and subtracts the opponents strength (his opponent does not roll a dice) and the monster throws his enemy that far

Hurl is worked out by rolling a D6 and adding the difference in strength. So Thrain will be thrown D6+4 assuming it was a mordor troll.

Good effort for playing around with the new Brutal Power attacks :) it's a war-game, expect to get the rules wrong the first few times.

But great fun when you nail it! Keep it up Sarge :)

We've got some videos as part of a "what's changed" series on the GBHL youtube channel (see link in signature) which explain special strikes, brutal power attacks etc… take a look, it will help!

Sure thing, I have been lurking around and looking at various batreps etc.
Would like to try and get to and event or two some time too, always good to learn by playing other experienced players.

That is excellent news! Keep the weekend of 12th/13th April free next year for sure, will announce soonish :)

Where do you live? Always open to players travelling for YouTube battle reports if you get the chance. We're happy to teach!
