Ah the first purchase, one you'll remember forever. I started off with a beginner's box of Gondor and one of Mordor Orcs when the third film came out. Well done for taking the plunge :)

You know, I dont remember my first purchase.....and that was before I started drinking!

I wanna say it was the ROTK start with Minis Tirith and Orcs. I think I bought two of them because they were a deal compared with individual boxes and had scenery.

Last alliance box for me. Elves, men and goblins, perfect to get started on a small scale, pity they don't still do it.

Welcome! Mine was a box of 24 mordor Orcs which I was made to split with my younger brother. Cost me £14.50. Magic.

I remember as a Christmas present, I received The Two Towers box set. And I've been steadily growing my collection off of BGiME packs ever since.

I started with the hobby at the time of the Battle Games magazines. So my first purchase was the first issue of the magazine with 12 Moria Goblins for 4 euros.

Mine was Bilbo Baggins on the day the hobby started. Went down on my lunch break to buy it. A whopping £3

Battle Games in Middle-earth Issue 1 for me - £2.99 I think with 12 plastic goblins, brush and paints! That must be about 11 years ago?! Had about a 7 year gap though!

Welcome!

Yeah this kit was so good I remember picking up a set. I wish they'd done it for the rest of the range for example get Uruk Hai/Rohan Warriors for TTT and Minas Tirith/Orcs for RoTK because it allowed to expand 2 sets of forces with one box.

My very first box was TTT starter kit. Rulebook, 20 Uruk Hai, 12 Riders of Rohan and a bit of terrain for £40. Was so epic, shame all the riders are broken now and most of the Uruk Hai :(

I am now in the process of ordering Thror, Thrain Celeborn and Rumil to lead the warbands. I know that they are high points cost but I will later get goblin town so no point in spending 60$ for 2 Balins, Thorins and Dwalins.
