Ok there's a small 300pt. tournament 3 battles consisting of Hold ground, Lords of battle and To the death . And I'm wondering what would be best. I want to take a cavalry force with nine model. Thee other force I was thinking about has 26 models. Would numbers help ?

If your talking about the one over in Orland Park, I will be there too.

I am looking at my various lists to put together in preparation as well.
Maybe we are thinking alike, somewhat...

I thought about an elite force...
A cavalry heavy force...
Hordes force...
Bow heavy force...

The first thing to weigh in my mind quickly became the "Break Point".
Once your force is 1/2 depleted, your force is broken.
And with this small point tourney, that puts a maximized force at 2 warbands.
That is not a lot of wiggle room for heavy casualties.

just my $0.02

See you there!!!

I think there's a couple of all-cav armies that could do well at this. Take a leaf out of Thermo's book on both:

Eomer, Knight of the Pelennor
7 Sons of Eorl
1 Mounted Royal Guard

9 models - 500 on the nose. Boom. Done.

OR, cheaper option:

RIvendell Knight captain, shield
9 Rivendell Knights with shield

297 - 10 models.

I think they'd both be fairly competitive. The Rohan one more so.
