I think the answer is 'yes' to ym question but I want to be sure....:
Can archers charge an enemy? For example can a minas tirith archer charge an orc warrior?
I think the answer is eys but it doesn't seems right to reality...( Rangers sure can charge! )
This is about SBG...

Yes they can, remember, they also keep a sword or something in a sheath, to draw in close quarters.

you can WOMT, but on many other models GW could not be bothered sculpting it.

ANY model can charge someone (assuming you have the movement, los, etc.) no matter what they are armed with, even unarmed models can charge! So yes, of course bowmen can charge the enemy. :)

Almost any model can charge. There is at least one model - Frodo of the Nine Fingers - that cannot charge for any reason.

Quite simply yes, though i notice how many people forget that some bow armed models have no hand weapon (High-Elves are a perfect example) and don't treat them as Un-armed. Though it does seem that the whole 'Orc bows count as a Hand Weapon in close combat' rule is ignored now as they have a hand weapon anyway and have to buy the bow on top, in the same way that you buy a two handed weapon rather than replace a hand weapon for a two handed one.

But to answer the question yes, but sometimes it is better to get a shot off with little chance of killing and no retaliation than to charge with a high chance of winning but a chance you may die instead.

To my knowledge, Tom Bombadil and his female companion (name just slipped my mind) can't either. However, simple way of remembering is - if it doesn't say in their rules that they can't charge/fight, then they can.

Don't really have time to explain, but high elves come with hand weapons, in short unless they are described as unarmed in the profile, they have a hand weapon. :)

Yes, once again i have read the FAQ and again Orcs get screwed by making their cheap and terrible bows that actually cost points almost worthless in comparison to an Elf that no long counts as unarmed, meh, not the first time GW have changed the rules to make the points limits off. :P

Elf bows are 2x the cost of an orc bow, in addition to the already expensive price of the elf. In the case of Orc shooting, I would take Orc Trackers instead of Orc Warriors with bows if you have the option - better shoot value, cheaper cost.

Yes but a Man bow is 1pt, has an extra 6" range in terms of firepower and the Dwarf bow is 1pt but gives S3 instead of the Orc S2, thus making them actually pretty terrible for the points, add to that the terrible accuracy and before you say 'points difference' the other stats easily make up that difference. Though saying that it is hard to offer them at anything lower than a point or charge more for the other bows.
