What are Amdur's SBG stats? Games Workshop only has the WOTR stats on the website, and what about special rules?

You can find its rules here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/articleCategory.jsp?communityArticleCatId=800021a&articleCatId=800021a&catId=&section=whiteDwarf

Hope it helps

So, what do you think of him (seeing as the topic is Amdur, I figure that this would make a nice place for a discussion...)? I do have my own spiel, but I shall let others go first.

He's an effective leader. The fact that he's a banner is great, not to mention the ability to regain might. I would have prefered for him to have an extra will and fate like the other made up faction leaders (Thrydan, Durburz, even Druzhag), but he's still pretty good. Team him up with a Dragon Knight, and they can take on most enemies.

Ah. I shall now speak. I find that he tends to be too vulnerable for a relatively expensive model- either that or he's always recognized as a threat and always mowed down with a wave of firepower. He really should, in my opinion, have another attack at the very least. More later...

I thpught it strange that they only give him 2 attacks even though he's the leader of the Dragopn Knights, and then they released the normal Dragon Knight and that had 3 attacks? that makes no sense compared to their usual understanding that the boss is always best.

Think of it as him being the rich boss now, so he is still more skilled (6 fight) but a bit fatter (2 attacks). He also gains the standfast rule back as well as the banner, so he's now a leader as much as he is a fighter.

Yes, it is a decent explaination, but still, seeing as he is the one hero in the game who can get might back for killing your enemies, I would, in all honesty, up the attacks and have him spend more time being the veg-o-matic he was supposed to be... until his guard came out.

He is pretty decent to lead the Easterlings, but I feel he needs more fate, and another attack, being a Dragon Knight an' all.

Firstl A HORSE!! 3 attacks on the charge with knock down and still a F6 banner.

Certain heroes upgrade their dudes...
kamul means you can upgrade your kataphracts and warriors to F4 C4 for 2 pts per model (in his 12 man group)
Gilgalad means his men can be F6

Wo. That is awesome. I knew about Amdur and the horsey awesomeness, but more heros get to upgrade their warband??!?! That's amazing.

Hmm... If Amdur can upgrade his Easterlings, then he could indeed be worth his points...

The new FAQ says he benefits from his own banner effect too :) Also he gained the "not knocked down on a 4+" rule.
The easterlings don't need a hero to improve their stats.

Good, that's how I've always played, because he IS within 3in of himself AND he's an Easterling. I just never asked because I didn't want to be told he didn't! :D

Ah, very nice. Amdur now has a fighting chance against some stuff he just started running in front of before.

It would also explain why he only has 2 attacks.
