Hi everyone.

I'm not sure if this should count as a rules question, army help or if I should be just in the beginners section but I'm new so please forgive me. My question is simply - is the King of the Dead unique (i.e. can i have more than one in an army)?
I'm just thinking that if he is counted as unique and the new warband rules limit him to 12 warriors is that going to kind of screw up the dead with only 1 possible hero.

Thanks.

he is unique as far as the 'old' rules go, i'd imagine he is still unique whatever rules GW have released. He was the King afterall ;)

They might get some form of captain, or special rule. Or simply designed to be an ally rather than a full force.. which would suck!

I would assume they get some sort of Captain version.

They might have a special rule that allows more warrior to hero ratio, or they might just get a captain, as said above. I have a feeling that there's going to be a release of some new good guys (not just command packs) in the next month or 2.

Thanks, i know he is the king but we do also have kings of men and dwarven kings that don't seem to be unique. I agree it would suck if the dead can only ever be a supporting ally, even if that is probably the best way to use them its still nice to have the option of an entirely dead army.

Warriors of the Dead are in the Fiefdoms army list on the website, so presumably you can take a Captain of Dol Amroth, Imrahil, Angbor, Forlong or Duinhir as well, taking up to 12 with each. Or they may be releasing the rules for a Captain.

That's a good point i guess that with them being in the same list now there are other hero options, although from a thematic point of view I still like the idea of a purely dead army and it would be a shame if that were not allowed in the rules. Good to know there are ways around it though.

Army of the dead got GOOD! They can be given wargear.. like a shield and spear, making them D8 :)

All the cavalry are listed like that, they movement is for the rider, the horse has its own profile at the beginning of the lists.

SO yeah.. D7 riders and D4 horses ;)
