Can someone please explain line of sight in regards to shooting?
Do you have to have a clear line of sight to the whole company to shoot or can it be partial?
The way I interpret the rules it says (I think because I don't have the book on me) that as long as you can draw any line between the shooting company and its target then you have line of sight. So if a friendly formation covered 90% of the LOS then you could still fire with the full company? Surely this isn't right??

With the full company in direct shoopting yes, but not the whole formation. If part if a company can see, the whole company can see.

So if an Assault Ballista can draw a line to an enemy company 40" away but can only see a very small part of the enemy company because there are 3 formations and a building in the way, does it still get to fire what would be an incredible shot? Is there no accounting for 'in the way' like in SBG?

There is no 'in the way' in WoTR, if part of the company is visable, it can fire normally.
