My (more experienced) opponent said, "Everyone within six inched will move with the hero except these cavalry. They will move later, in my regular turn, so they don't need to stop 6 inches from the hero."

Another experienced player said, "Not allowed: every friendly model within 6 inches uses up their chance to move, whether they actually move or not."

Yet another experienced player said, "True, unless the hero chooses not to call 'With me!'. If he does not call 'With me", then he can move alone and ALL others can move in the regular turn---but not a mix."

Help.

The third (and second) players are correct.

If the Hero chooses to shout "with me" then all models within 6" must move and stay within 6" of the Hero or not move at all (they cannot move later in the move phase). The Hero can choose not to shout and then only the Hero moves, all other models then move at the normal time.

Please note because after 1 GT and 3 doubles tournies I am tired of explaining this final point
If there are heroes within 6inch of the hero and you shout with me. EVEN THE HEROES MOVE TOO!! It is ALL or NOTHING

Indeed, every friendly model within range moves if he calls 'with me', not just the warriors.

Really? In the Mines of Moria mini-rulebook (pg 38) it states:
"In addition, the Hero can shout "With me!" as he moves, and all friends within 6"/14cm will move at the same time. Friends moving in this way must begin and end their move within 6"/14cm of the Hero who is making the heroic action, otherwise they cannot move with him." (bold added)

Doesn't this imply that they can choose not to move with him? Models cannot move with the hero if they 1) aren't starting within 6" of him (duh) and 2) if they won't end their move within 6" of the hero, implying that they can choose to move later if they will be ending their move further away.

That's the way I've always interpreted it.
