Is the number of die/attack = the number of crew for the trebuchet? I understand the successful hit(s) allocation(s) are the same as in volley fire principle, but I am unsure of the number of die one gets to row on behalf of the trebuchet. Thank you in advance for clarifications.

No, no, you roll one die to *miss* while the enemy rides inside your minimum range. Then you cry as your 100+ point model does not a damn thing. Or at least that's how I run trebuchets and catapults.
