Post subject:  SBG - Victory points for objectives

Hi guys, enjoyed my first game with new SBG books, using warbands and missions therein.

One thing cropped up, in missions such as Hold Ground, it mentions getting a VP for each model within 6" of objective marker... seems straight forward... but my opponent last night thought a cavalry model counts as two figures.

Is this correct?

If so, in a similar train of thought... what about monsters and characters with multiple wounds, do they score a VP for each wound on the profile (that they still have at end of game)?

Thanks for any clarification.

Cheers
Scott

Nope, it's just the models, regardless of number of wounds. And cavalry is considered one model.

On a related note.....If you dismount your warg riders and pass the courage test for your warg, does it then count as two models?

I don't think so (not 100% sure), I think a warg that makes his courage test means the model doesn't count as a casualty yet.

whafrog, you are right when determining losses but I'm not sure it would NOT count for VPs. I'll read the description tonight and give it some thought, but there are a few options to bring extra models into play during the game. Spider Queen's broodlings is another example. Wouldn't those count as models near the objective? If it only says 'models within 6" of the objective' then I'd probably count the dismounted Warg / Rider pair as two models for VPs.

I don't think this would be a major game threat TBH since you have a decent chance of loosing the Warg when you dismount so it won't be a 100% exchange, not many people field more than a small number of these to begin with, and when dismounted they are vulnerable so you may not actually do it at the right time.
