I have just been reading an article in the tomes of wisdom and came across a point my opponent raised last night. He asked why I wasn't combining the attacks of both my fell beast and the witch king when rolling dice. I said that mounted models choose to use either the attacks of the rider or the attacks of the mount, whichever is highest. He said that when gaming in store they always add the attacks together and I have just read the same thought in the tomes of wisdom.

Have I been playing this wrong?

Also he said when gaming in store they move models with larger bases into contact with multiple enemies whenever possible when charging. I thoughT a charging model could only contact one enemy.

Again, have I been playing this wrong?

No, you're wrong. A model can contact asmany opponents as the situation and its base allow.

Great, thanks for the quick reply.

Any thoughts as regards the number of attacks?

you pick the highest and add one for charging. So a wraith on fellbeast should always have a minimum of 2 attacks as the fellbeast have 2 attacks.

Both Constantine and SouthernDunedain are right.

GW stores and staff are infamous for not knowing the rules. Most of them are really only interested in WH or 40K, and play SBG only if they have to.

You can almost guarantee that if GW staff tell you a rule, it will be wrong.

It's a sad but true part of playing this game.

Number 1 rule when in LotR: NEVER, EVER, EVER trust a GW Staff member on a LotR Rule. ALWAYS check for yourself because as said above they will be wrong most of the time. Even GT referees get rules wrong all the time and these days they don't even make a verdict, but show you the page where the rule is written because too many of us have complained in the past.
