I was reading in the rule book about characters receiving strength hits falling off cliffs but don't fully understand the concept.

Is it basically if your character is under the required level of strength, they receive 1 wound? Or am I completely wrong?

Are you sure it doesn't say "receiving strength 3 hits" or something?

It has nothing to do with the model's strength. It means for every full inch the model falls, you suffer one hit at, for example, strength 3.

Just treat the fall as if it's an attack at the listed strength. Roll on the table as normal and see if you get a wound.

Wait, you only have to treat it like an attack? Great!
So you use the shooting wound chart to calculate the damage done.

Thanks! :D

Yes, lots of effects and magical powers refer to a "strength X hit". Treat it like a normal attempt to wound (shooting or fighting).
