So My question is.....
I have a few of the actual Grey Co models........

What profile do I use for these guys? They are not in the kingdoms of men rulebook? Although there is a pic of one on the Ranger of the North profile???

I don't really get why they released two different versions of essentially the same thing with the same profile.. I must say though, I do prefer these GC models to the 'other' Rangers of the North figs!

Grey Company ARE Rangers of the North, that's why. Although, Dunedain are often Rangers as well. The difference between Dunedain and Grey Company is that the GC wear heavy armour (I.E. chainmail) - in the game, it means +1D at +1pt, visually, it means some chainmail poking through their cloaks.

With metal models, you'll generally find there are 3 variations. Sometimes only two (sad :( ), very occassionally 4 (yay, but still not enough :P ).

What you say is true, Hashut, but Steve's original question was if there is a difference in profile between these guys:

and these guys:

Despite having different names - Grey Company and Rangers of the North, which, as you say, are quintessentially synonyms - they both have exactly the same profile. I suppose it all comes down to taste and variety in the end. As you say, the GC models only have 3 poses (but imo have a better look) whereas the RotN figs have a few different 'poses' (although it's essentially two with different faces and details).

I was of the opinion thet Grey Company were Rangers of the North and Rangers of the North were Dunedain. Stupendously bad decision on the naming, but there ya go, lol :D
