How does the warg maraunder react on the panic steed spell?
Or a scorerous blast?

And another question. Does it have the move penalty when moving his full movement?

I dont think Panic steed would have an effect as the Marauder is one model and the warg & goblins cannot be split etc. SB would probably knock it over but the goblins wouldnt get thrown.

and yes, it still suffers the -1 to shoot when moving.

Ok, thank you. We are testing a strategy. A full army of maraunders. So I'me searching for a decent army to counter them.

Completely agree with SD on all three of these.

Warg Marauder army sounds cool, no idea how competitive it'd be but they're certainly not bad. Plenty of opportunity for cool conversions too, I presume you're not just planning on getting the 1 Finecast figure again and again? My plan at some point down the line is to use some 40K Fenrisian wolves and put 2 Moria Goblins on each one. I think 2 goblins will look far better than three and there's nowhere in the rules that says there's 3 as opposed to 2.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

well here's the thing the warg marauder has a bow as such you can legally only have 1/3 of your force warg marauders.
I personally have ten of them and their loads of fun

Warg marauders are really awesome, I've used proxies and I think they might be the best archery unit Moria has (although very expensive). Cavalry that is immune to a lot of anti-cavalry is also quite nice ;)

We tested them, but they are way overpowerd :(.

How many did you use? One or two wouldn't be overpowered, but a dozen would be. It's all about balance.

Imagine an army of warg riders and warg marauders...
Now that would be cool!

Whoops!
Misread that warg riders aren't in moria, but angmar, not both. :(

Maybe wild wargs, although they wouldn't be as effective...

12? That explains it. You shouldn't be using more than 4-6 at 800pts.

But you can use 12; why shouldn't you? Fact is that they should cost at least 50pts each.

That would penalise the people who want to play fairly with less. Although they should cost more than a bat swarm.

I agree that you should be able to use as many as you want, but I disagree that they need to cost 50 points. They only have f3 and d5. There is a lot of f4 stuff out there, and d5 isn't superb. I think they're cost is quite balanced.
