Post subject:  Kingdoms of Men Sourcebook: What's in it?

As I have been easing back into playing the game with my son, I've noticed GW has consolidated information on the various realms into Sourcebooks. I've always had a keen interest in the Fiefdoms of Gondor. The GW site indicates that the Kingdoms of Men Sourcebook includes information on the Fiefdoms. Before I simply order the book, I was hoping someone could tell me how extensive the information is on the various Feifdoms, such as which ones are covered?

I have the original White Dwarf articles on the Fiefdoms but that information is pretty dated now. Are these Sourcebooks worth the additional investment? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Dol Amroth, Clansmen of Lamedon, and Axemen of Lossnarch.
Rules, updated profiles, and scenarios.

It is light on Fiefdom scenario action.

You get 13 profiles including 5 named heroes, 2 cavalry troop types and 5 infantry options. You get stats for every fiefdom model around. As far as I am aware the fiefdoms are a very dangerous bunch, and totally underrated.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope to stop into the GW store in Seattle (280 miles west of my home) in a couple of weeks and look at the book in person.

I know this is a very subjective question but in general, are the various Sourcebooks considered worth owning?

Thanks.

Only if you intend to use them often and that they are relevant to your factions

I personally think its worth owning the source books if you are likely to field or face any of the armies in them. Their is definitely a know thine enemy aspect!

I totally agree, I spend as much time studying my opponent's pieces as my own.

@Bilbo- Are you a fellow student of Sun Tzu? lol

I like owning the army books. Alot of my armies are mix n match from various factions, and being able to skim through the profiles really helps choose what units will be most beneficial in a given situation.

That said 90% of the time I just field khazad guards and don't worry myself about anything else.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself,
you will succumb in every battle”

Hats of to the Guvnor!
