Hey I'm wondering about the new Hobbit addition to SBG. Does anyone know some of the main rules added? Mainly I was wondering about allies. I read somewhere that you can now ally any faction with another one as long as they're the same alignment- good and evil.
This would be really messed up... say fielding Elendil and Faramir in an army of men. If this is true it would really mess up the game I think. What are your thoughts guys?

The ability to ally any two groups came out pre-Hobbit. Personally I like it and most people use restraint when allying. Ive never seen your above example used.

I'm assuming you are still using the old Harad, Khazad-Dum, Shadow in the East edition of rules? They have all been updated and I'd highly recommend purchasing the updated ones

We're not meant to post rules on here (so GW doesn't get upset with OR) but the main changes to the rules involve weapons, bows, monsters and some other stuff (but those are the main things I can think of)

If you really want to know about all the new stuff I'd recommend getting the EfGT rule book as it contains all of the main rules and is much cheaper.

If you're just an old player returning and you're curious about the new rules I recommend simply popping down to a GW store and taking a good look at one of their open copies.
