Hey guys. Someone just told me that pikes could not back up spearmen who were then backing up another mini. They only way to do "double backing up" would be having two pikes both backing up the front-line mini.
Is this true?

I am afraid he's right. Used to be otherwise, which I thought was a good rule, but It was changed last year.

This wasn't the case with the One Ring book, but the Hobbit rules made it more restrictive. I like it, TBH, I was getting tired of seeing the orc sandwich in lists…though it makes Guards of the Galadhrim Court more of an all-or-nothing option.

I have found gotgc to be very good allied into a dol amroth list, just put that fight 6 where you need it by backing up a men at arms model. They are in the fight now.
