Just had my first game in ages, was really great fun.
We were playing To the Death and were equal on Victory Points, so it came down to the last combat of the game, as I had been reduced to 25% so the game would end after this.
The combat was Prince Imrahil on foot wih 1 Dol Amroth Pikeman as a support, against Suladan (foot), a Hasharin, and a Corsair Reaver.
He rolls and his best score is a 3 with Imrahil (but higher fight than me), and the Pikeman got a 4. I roll and get a 6 with both Suladan and the Hasharin. He then uses his reroll due to Imrahil's banner effect to reroll the Pikeman's dice, predictably to a 6, winning the combat due to Imrahil's higher Fight Value
Can I just check if this is all correct? I haven't played in a while and don't have the new rules, but we looked at his and it stated the highest FV wins out of the models which drew, saying nothing about supports.
I asked 2 people, one of whom said the Pikemen had a lower FV so lost, but another said it counts as an extra attack for Imrahil and therefore uses his FV, but then surely it wouldn't be allowed a re-roll?
Anyway we played on hypothetically after that and he would have killed Suladan, and I would have killed Imrahil with the Hasharin, so it pretty much decided the game.
I admit I'm probably wrong as I haven't played in while, but it would be useful clarification for future reference at least.
But was overall a really close game, and I'm glad I've found some new opponents in Newcastle, and the GW up here is really friendly.
