Hey guys. I have the Hobbit rulebook which is the most updated set of rules, but I have none of the other books such as Fallen realms, free peoples, kingdoms of men etc....I am going to start playing in tournaments so I guess I need to own the book suited for my army in order to know if I have all the stats and points for my army correct. Would I be right?

Yep. I would suggest doing this. Its not the best idea money wise but since you bought that large expensive book I figured it was an idea lol.
Go out and get all the source books. If you get them all know them all and know everyones special abilities its a lot easier to know your enemy.
They are cool anyway and its nice to have an army from each.

You may use LonelyKnight's Army Builder though and print from it for the tournament.
