Ok, so I've been wondering.

1) Does Lindir's special rule apply to Elrond from the "Eregion and Rivendell" army list, or only to the Elrond in the "Elrond's household" army list?

2) Does the palace guard benefit from their "kings guard" special rule if I field the old Thranduil, or is it just the new Thranduil that gives them access to this boost?

If the new models had different names than the old ones, the rules could have been clear. As of now, the rules only speak of "Elrond" and "Thranduil".

If I was to make a guess, it would be to apply these new rules only along with the new profiles.

Your thoughts are highly appreciated, thanks! :)

I'd say, logically, it'd be only the new ones, because for those, both of them are in the same army list. It'll probably be FAQ-confirmed when there's next an update for their FAQ.

Same name exactly, so the rules work for both.

We have a similar thing with the shield bearer protecting dwarf heroes... he can protect Gimli in the fellowship list.
Just do it and keep life simple. :)
