If I'm prone and someone shoots at me, am I harder to hit? Do I still count as "trapped" for dmg purposes? I looked in the rule book and counldn't see anything. |

You are only harder to hit, if there is something in the way because you are prone or there is no line of sight (for example behind a wall), but it follows the normal line of sight rules. There is no being trapped in the shout phase. |

I know a mini cant be trapped during the shoot phase, however for dmg purposes, being prone = being trapped. Therefore, if I take dmg from an arrow while prone, do I take double dmg? |

No. You can never be "trapped" against an arrow attack |

Don't have the rulebook here but look at prone models and being trapped there will stand that you get twice dice if you strike a model or something similiar shooting isn't striking. |

You never have to back away so you cannot be trapped against archery fire. It's as simple as that. Trapped only comes into effect in the fight phase not before |

When you're Prone in the fight phase the enemy can strike you again and again as you can't back away. When an arrow hits a prone model it doesn't hit it twice. So no, you don't take double strikes form shooting attacks. |

In the little handbook (Hobbit) pg 40 it says (quote), "If the prone model loses the Duel roll, he will Back Away as normal, moving 1" whilst remaining prone. Backing away cannot be used to stand a model up. When resolving Strikes against a Prone model, he is always considered Trapped." |

Yeah, prone models do get to back away, however they still count as Trapped for the purposes of making strikes against them. However, in the case pertaining to the thread, shooting someone with a bow is not the same as striking them (in close combat), so there are no Trapped bonuses. |

Yes you still back away. To clarify, my post above was written in 'real' world terms to explain why the arrow didn't do double strikes. I meant the elf knocked to the ground literally couldn't move away to avoid the repeated attack of the orc, not that the Prone elf model in SBG does not back away one inch. Hope that makes more sense. |
