Two questions.

1-Is it possible to hurl a unit into an enemy in combat with my troop? It seems legit since he can aim at part of his base and doesnt have to go through mine.

2-If that unit in a combat gets a guy thrown through him, do his attacks still count? Does anything about that combat besides him laying down change? Thanks.

Heres a thread talking about it. Somewhere near the back they talk about it being allowed or not.

Yes, it is.

Nothing changes, they are still in combat.

No you can not throw a model into another fight. A charge only happens in the move phase. With the exception of a heroic fight, which allows the model to charge again.

Why are there still questions about this?

I thought he ask wether you are allowed to aim at combats.

This is a different question than hurling the hurled model into combat, so that the hurled model will take part in it, what is forbidden.

I see, my mistake. Nothing keeps the monster from throwing at a combat. The only thing that changes is the ability to roll to wound, the model or models on the ground lose that roll if that model(s) win the fight.

1 yes. It's been discussed in that thread. But there must already be a combat or a very long explanation on how it can occur

Bullet point "4" pp 63.
Interestingly the model aimed at becomes prone.
The target model won't be moved out of its base contact with its own combat.

Bullet point "6" pp63.
The last sentence of that rule description requires a minimum distance movement. I would assume that any minimum movement would also maintain that fight contact if possible.

Obviously the combat would now be a prone combat. Assuming the combatants are not laughing so much because of how funny this seems.

Your next question is ... if my troll hurls a model off a cliff do we add falling height damage as well as the last strength 6 damage hit when he finds terra firma?

Or... can I throw a model at an eagle in mid air.. or does the eagle just catch it anyway? Because Eagles are just a bunch of winners anyway?

If I understand the question correctly, you can definitely aim at other combats with a Hurl. The GW FAQ confirms that it is only the models that are passed over that are knocked Prone, so you can Hurl through a combat and avoid one of the participants if you wish, in that respect it differs from Sorcerous Blast which knocks all models in a combat prone if one of them is hit.

If a model in a combat is knocked down, the combat still happens but obviously one combatant is Prone. He still gets all his attacks but if he loses, the enemy will get double strikes and if he wins he will only stand up and not strike his opponent.

If both combatants in a combat get knocked down, they will still fight and the winner will stand up.

Hope that helps
