In that case, then it is powerful.

Also, a budget wraith with 7 will, does not have 7 will to resist sap will, it has 6, if it used the last one it'd still be dead.

A' thank you.

Yes it is a potent spell if you plan to field the three Wizards as a 500pts force and can Sap your enemy then chuck them around, but if you only have a couple of budget Wraiths (55pts) then you are more likely to use the Will for Compelling / Black Darting people around the board than wasting time Sapping Will.

It is potent but really it is overshadowed by much better spells and not that many models know it. In terms of Wraiths doing it to each other i don't think GW thought about this and if they did they thought actually it isn't that big a thing.

Well true on the 6, but still it is best to use all you can if you can stop it.

But it's pointless anyway, you'd die if you did spend the last point, and die if you didn't.

Yes but as i say you must use as much as you need to so if you get down to 2 Will and the power still works then you use that one point and hope you get it. If not bye bye Wraith.

It really boils down to the fact that LotR games, especially SBG, were generally designed to be played Good vs Evil. You can play EvE / GvG but some of the built in balance issues are lost when you choose to do so. I have been playing SBG for over 5 years and have never seen a problem with Sap Will though it's been used by me and used against me in many games. But my only GvG/EvE experiences have been in a couple tournament events that did not have players bring an army from each side. Locally we always play GvE.
