i think you should lower the points for the captain
ATM its the same price as the current one just with less defence and less options

IMO the cost should be lowered to make them 25pts

You've got the Goblin Captain with the same pt cost, but 2 lower D than a normal goblin captain.
EDIT: oops, didn't see Sid's comment. Ya, lower that to 25 pts or just leave the captain the same as it is right now.

Ok done, just thinking that if someone was to play a points match, they are going to be able to field a hell of a lot of troops with Goblin Captains at just 25 pts and still have more than enough to field both the Goblin King and Grinnah.

The fact that they only have 3D makes up for it. A couple elves would be able to shoot it to death pretty quick.

Wow that defence is low, that would make normal goblins defence 1.

2, he doesn't have a shield.

Neither have armour or shields and are topless, that's why they both have the same defence. A Hobbit militia has defence 2 when they are fully clothed, so a naked Goblin with defence 2 and at just 3 points is fair enough.

I am going to start writing a campaign but movie spoilers ***I am not sure how to make Thrain's clash with Gandalf in Dol Guldur an even match*** so I will be starting with Bilbo stumbling on Tom, Bert and William's camp instead.

I think 45 points is too much. That is the same as a Captain of Rohan, but Yazneg has -1 Fight, Defense and Courage traded for 1 Extreme might (plus he has no options). Not an equal trade imo. It should probably be 35, perhaps 40.

Ori - 25 pts

F 3/4+ S 3 D 3 A 1 W 1 C 3 M 0 W 3 F 1

Wargear:
Ori carries a knife and a slingshot

At an addiitonal cost he may carry the following:
Mithril armour - 15 pts

Special rules:
Throw stones see rulebook
Note taker Ori is more interested in recording history than he is fighting in the thick of the battle. Ori is therefore capable of anticipating the enemy's next move. Any ally within 6 inches of Ori may move prior to the enemy regardless of who won priority; this rule also takes precedence over a Heroic Move (ally or enemy).
Slingshot A slingshot is used in the same way as throwing stones except with a strength of 2 and a range of 10 in.

So each of your models within 6" gets a free SUPER heroic move?! Is there a reason to not take this guy?! Or is it meant to only be one model per turn? At that point it seems strong but not overpowered but it definitely isn't worded that way.

Wow, didn't realize that was like that. He should be about 200 pts now lol.

Not really. For a heroic move to be effective he is generally going to have to be in the thick of battle for fellow troops to be able to take advantage of it. Even if not he can be peppered with arrows and with a D of 3, W 1, F 1 and M 0 it shouldn't be a massive problem to take him out.

It was a joke, but he's still overpowered as is.

All seems good so far... but like I see.. for example Thorin´s needs a bit more spice, every named dwarf got somesort of special rule or least a pair or 2 or 3..
Durin got a couple of rules, Dain as well, I do beleive thorin shoudl be a bit better at it...
I would give Thorin fight 6, equivalent to Gimli and Durin, cause Dain is old so his fight is a lil bit more rusty(fight 5 for him)...
His weapon seems fine, but I would give orcrist as basic weapon, his defence should be 7 not 6 on dwarven heroes if you notice :P and can use mithril armour(that will increase to 9). and its cost would be around 130 or so rather than 110 :P
Cause if you notice this way compared to 125pts Dain he would get +1 to fight, -2 defence (that will be increase to 9 for +15pts) rest is the same with less courage and fate, same rule of the stand fast, the axe gives him the bonus of +1S vs orcs (would be more fun however if that weapon would give +1 S and re.roll to vs orc/goblins and uruks.) got no agile penalty

About bilbo 1 thing to correct... mithril coat shouldn´t count as heavy armour, as text refers it to light as a feather :P, specially a small jacket bilbo wears :P
About his profile S2 is ok, D2 not so much, bilbo with defence 2 means hes older, this version hes younger, so I would give him defence 3 basic just like frodo :)
I would give him a rule related being good as reading maps and such, in game? maybe something to allow you to re.roll who win the iniciative order :)

Remain dwarf heroes, if you wanna give them defence 8 in general with upgrade, I would give them acess to heavy armour, cause I doubt all would wear mithril armour :)

Thanks for your input, I especially agree about Thorin.
