oh just as a reminder or answer to the ppl who seemed unclear you can target the mumak or the the howdah or the warriors in the howad (but rolling in the ways for the howdah) howdah has 5 wounds D9 mumak has 10 wounds D7, take out commander then they will have up 12 Courage 3 guys to take controll of mumak (average courage) just a side note any mods of courage (eg nazgul) have to be with in 12inches (you all know that) but its base to base so the nazguls gonna have to get kinda close...

magic: only spells that do damage or take wounds away can affect the mumak, spells that affect the mind cant affect the mumak its to stupid so ull have to target the "driver" again base to base so got to get close

and for transfix you cant target the mumak as its a "mnd spell" and then the mumak fights in close combat transfixing the "driver" wont affect the mumak itself

i dont know bout the die outright rule from siege weapons for the howdah but i know you can kill the mumak outright

Its either a special rule of the beast is12 inces high! Any courage mods like ringwraiths dont affect the driver e.c.t unless they are touching the mumaks base

no because the mumak has 10 wounds you only "do" 5 wounds.

You could fly a couple of snowspeeders around it with tow cables. :D

Hey, this is a great thread. I didn't know all that.
As far as I can see, a mumak is almost as lethal to his own side as his opponent's.

by me it's on page 67 (small rule book, Dutch version) when they define battlefieldtargets. they say that a battlefieldtarget is killed outright unless it has def. 10 or 10 wounds in wich case only halve of the original amount of wounds (5) is dealt.

if something has more then 4 wounds and it gets hit by a balista its wounds are halfed do you wud have to hit one twice with a balista
