But for example my friend regularly has 30 harad bows so that is 3 volleys, so 3 wounds on the sentinal and wounding on 5s with reroll 1s.

but how ?they wear elven cloak so how do they get visible?

Thats the thing, with volley fire you only have to see any one model, once he has been determined any model, seen or unseen, can be 'accidently' hit if within 6". The only way to keep a Sentinal safe is to have no other model within 6" and out of sight.

Am I allowed to target a model I can't see? I thought the 'accident' part was covered by your opponent choosing every other target. So anything within 6" of a seen target is fair game...even if in an elven cloak?

1)You target a model any of your models can see
2) you roll to hit
3) your opponent choses a model within 6 inches of the targetted model, ANY MODEL, and you roll to wound.
4) you chose a model within 6 inch of hte targetted model, ANY MODEL, and you roll to wound
5) repeat 3 and 4 until you have run out of hits.
