This project is loosely based on improving the old Battle Companies rules for SBG which if you don't know what they are were a skirmish campaign system much like Mordheim and Necromunda were for Warhammer and 40K respectively. However, we haven't limited our scope to just updating the current rules - we are trying to build an in-depth and immersive game that will enhance the LotR SBG landscape. Please check out this project at http://battlecompanies3.weebly.com/. We are currently seeking more members to join our Fellowship of the Rules. We will have fortnightly areas of focus. However any member is able to focus soley on the aspects of the system that interest them. If you've ever had any interest in writing or tweaking rules this is the project for you, none of the current system of SBG and Battle Companies is safe from revision and/or improvement. Please don't think this is only for those people interested in battle companies we are also in the process of revising unit costs, special rules, equipment and more importantly the general game mechanics of SBG. If you've ever toyed with rule tweaking this is the place to put it to practice. Join the Fellowship of the Rules. Dedicated LotR SBG wargamers intent on creating an in-depth skirmish experience-based campaign game. It will be fully compatible with normal SBG warband rules. This is the future of SBG.
