Hi all I am playing another 600pt game in a few days and I can't decide which to stick in my list - Gandalf or a mounted White Council Saruman? I will be using Rohorim + Elves against my Harad + Orcs + Elves opponents we will both be nearly maxed out on bows which is where G's 'blinding light' comes in handy at a very tight squeze I might be able to fit both in please help  speedy replies would be much apreciated

okay dokey this is only a vague list so far as im still making it (hence the thread) Warband 1 10/12 Éomer, Marshal of the Riddermark with Horse; Shield; Throwing spears; 6 Rider of Rohan 4 Warrior of Rohan with Throwing spears; Shield; ---- Warband 2 10/12 Legolas with Armour; 6 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield; Spear; 4 Galadhrim Warrior with Elf bow; ---- warband 3 Gimli, son of Gloin Aragorn/strider w/bow + armour + Gandalf or Saruman also possibly another warband of a cap. + some warriors |

saruman is always the better choice, with sorcerers blast on 4+ and higher range on other spells. |

seeing as i play against elves G's 'blinding' light wound potentially half my casualties i am completeley not sure which one to take

ok you lot have persuaded me to take Saruman here's the eventual list: Warband 1 10/12 Éomer, Marshal of the Riddermark with Horse; Shield; Throwing spears; 6 Rider of Rohan with Throwing spears; 4 Warrior of Rohan with Throwing spears; Shield; ---- Warband 2 6/12 Captain of Rohan with Horse; Heavy armour; Shield; Throwing spears; 6 Warrior of Rohan with Throwing spears; Shield; ---- Warband 3 4/12 Legolas with Armour; Elven cloak; 2 Galadhrim Warrior with Shield; Spear; 2 Galadhrim Warrior with Elf bow; Spear; ---- Warband 4 3/12 Gimli, son of Glóin with Elven cloak; 3 Khazâd Guard ---- Warband 5 Saruman the White with Horse; ---- if there is anything that would be better in a different warband or swapped then please shout |

You should either take out the dwarves or the elves and bulk up on the other warbands. Also, you have too many bows for your elves, you need to have at least 2 more without bows for them to work. |

No it's not, you have 4 elf warriors. 2 have bows. 4 divided 2 is 2, meaning you have 50% bows with your elves. |

Aahh, forgot about that. The math man in me says that you never round 1.33 up, but the rules are rules. |

So 4 shields and 2 bows for example. |
