I´ve been trying to get a bit more flavour to the eagles cause most people haven´t been using them as they say they might be good at this and that, but generally not as much worth taking as they also lack on variety to take. Anyway here is what I was planning to and I need you gamers to see if this could be approved :)

What you guys think?

*rules - only eagles can use their (Great Eagles) heroes stand fast and heroic actions*

new brutal power attack(great eagles):
sweep: once per game. If a monster wins a combat, the monster moves 3D6 in a straight line. All models (friend or foe) in the path suffer a Strength hit at half the monster strength (halve up) and are prone. Place the monster at the end of the movement from the brutal power attack. If the monster can´t land at the end of the 3d6 move, move the minimum required to place it.



HEROES

Gwaihir (Great Eagle, Monstrous cavalry) Points value: 180

Lord of Eagles. Change the following. Only Eagles can use Gwaihir stand fast! or Benefit from his heroic actions. Additionally, Gwaihir stand fast range its 12" rather than 6".
Lineage of Thorondor. Gwaihir count as a banner for other eagles with the range of 6".


Landroval (Great Eagle, Monstrous cavalry) Points value: 165

Noble Blood. Landroval automatically pass any courage test as long Gwaihir is alive in the battlefield. Additionally Landroval must call an heroic fight for free as long hes within 3" of Gwaihir, however this free move must reach Gwaihir´s fight, if possible.


Meneldor (Great Eagle, Monster) Points value: 130

Loyal till the end. Nominate a single heroe (can be a non eagle heroe) Selected heroe can benefit from Beleram heroic actions and stand fast and otherwise. Additionally if the heroe is killed, Beleram honour will drive him into a frezied state, Beleram gains +1 Strength and + 1A but reduces his defence to 6.

I don't play much SBG but I am a huge gamer, so great work on giving Beleram some much needed attention! I once toyed with the idea of converting some figures into Eradan, Farin and Andriel (with house-rule profiles) but other things got in the way...

Anyway, I digress... I think the profiles look good!

been considering if I wouldnt increase the eagle´s point up to 100pts and change their profile from monster to monstrous cavalry, cause it makes all sense to me.. they are the fell´s beast "good side" counter anyway...

Why I do this? well an horned fellbeast with S7 can actually pin down an eagle... should be fair in counter, some of the eagles could pin down some fell beasts as well, like gwaihir in the return of the king he jumped on a fell beast and pinned down both beast and rider down from the sky....


Adding the fac from all the rules updated form above would make eagle´s way more competitive.
