Thank you very much ^^

I paint quickly because I don't overly enjoy it, want all of my stuff painted so that it doesn't feel like a chore when I get new models and because I keep things very basic ;)

Interesting work, it would be nice to see the finished result

Got ridiculously busy recently, both with trying to film in Liverpool and with creating and editing Chaos Dwarf Radio: http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showt ... p?tid=8076

However, today, I used my Dwarfs in a practice game to teach my girlfriend how to play (with Wood Elves, allied with Saruman and Boromir). In parts, I went easy on her and in others, forgot things that meant I had a slight advantage. She was taking it in well because she was worrying about finishing before work, but we'd only got through 2 turns, weren't playing on a large enough "board" (the bed, which she was sat on, lol) and had nothing in the way of terrain/scenery. Regardless, I was getting fairly owned, but my excuse is not feeling well.

We're going to have another, smaller and simpler game tomorrow (no magic, try to have no monsters, as few special rules as possible, no Fortunes, 1 [maybe two] Epic Hero[es]/Legendary Formation[s], etc), which we'll play on the kitchen table for extra space. Still no terrain to keep things as simple as possible because she's never done wargaming before and is likely to finish work late tonight. I'll try to let you all know how it goes though.

Tonight, I may try and get some more of the little guys prepped for painting (need to strip a bunch and spray a load), as well as painting the last sprue of undercoated Easterlings (although people are likely bored of seeing the same models getting finished over and over again :D ) and the two metal undercoated pikemen, before looking at what needs to be done in preparation for painting the rest of them (7 metal pikemen, 4 plastic pikemen, 5 Easterling riders, one Easterling horse and 4 Easterling horse legs).

Not much to do then ^^

Well, not enough for an update of both blogs just yet, although I still shall. Suffice it to say that the Dwarf one has a couple of pictures and the Easterling one doesn't.

Time for another update! Well, I'm posting this (with a teaser again!) before creating the blog-post, so it may take 20mins (stupidly slow to upload my pictures onto it) before you see anything new on the blogsite, however, there is always more content added to that than I reveal in these posts!

Teaser:

Well, another pair of updates, nothing huge for Dwarfs, but there are a few pictures for the Easterlings. Comments on the overall look of the Kataphrakt is much appreciated.

Try to spur me on to get me to show the whole army of each one, the army lists, the models I have/need and get on with painting, please guys and gals :D

Once more a little love, but to both armies this time! Got a couple of pictures for each (painted 10 models today - it was a lazy day, but still more than last time!), as well as a list of the models that I have, need and will eventually have!

Thank you very much ;)

I don't mind and I think I actually asked people to reply in here, but I see no reason why people can't reply on there :D I think people are put off by having to sign up to make comments.

Well, I've updated both of the overling neglected blogs, but the reason is because of http://to4g.blogspot.com and www.ramblerstheshow.com

Everything looking pretty good so far 8). Though one critisism. Your paint seems to be a little thick as the paint on the vault warden looks a little lumpy but that's just minor.

All the paint is on the right place wich is also a art to do right. but the paints could really use some depth.

some washes would do wonders.
Even try highlights or dry brushes

spudes4ever: I agree on that, unfortunately, that's just the picture. The little blotchiness of the real version is due to the model itself as well. So, glad you're only criticism is something that isn't my fault :D I hate blotchy paint and water it down if I notice it is and fix the problem.

hero of gondor and GreenDragonInn: I agree and it's very much something I shall likely get round to, but I know what I'm like and would rather get things finished first. Having about 50 dwarfs left (and one Easterling Kataphrakt + command blister), I'll finish those and then start adding washes.

One thing that I will mention is that the Dwarf armour has Chestnut Ink on and the Easterling weapons do as well ;)

Highlights are soemthing I'm never likely to do as I never make them look right (and I've been trying for about 8 years), so I'll likely cheat by just using washes :D Thinking Asurmen Blue for the blue, Badab Black for silver (and greys), Thraka Green for any green and then not sure if Badab Black or Leviathan Purple would be best for the reds...

Once again, I have an update for the Dwarfs, with some non-GW models involved this time (should break up the monotonous viewing of regular Dwarf Warriors).
