I'm sorry I've been off this for a while. The liquid green stuff in a pot is utter rubbish. When it dries it shrinks a lot and can't fill gaps with it, it takes like 20 applications! The regular green stuff it better.

Sorry man.

Ah okay I think the gap was too big for the liquid I ended up having to blob it on but should be able to sand/file it to end up looking good

Or wet your finger and run it along the gap, smoothing it out. It's a bit fiddly to get on but much quicker to use. Dries in minutes. Just don't put your finger in your mouth!

Thanks :D My girlfriend actually did most of the base on the Farmers Dog haha I just added those 2 bits of long grass.

If anyone could give me some tips at taking photos of minis would be great. For some reason if I put the light closer to the mini my camera picks up these weird lines.

You don't want the light to point at the camera, you want the light to come from above and in front. You can use white illustration board in back and to the sides of the figure to bounce the light on the figure.

It sounds like the light is pointing directly into the lens, you don't want to do that it causes lines like you describe.

If you can take a piece of string and make a strait line from the light blub to the lens then yes it's pointing into the lens.

Nice. I was looking at buying one of those the other day when I saw one floating about.

I gather you're an NZ based gamer too, which is great - there's not as may of us as I'd like.

Haha were you looking on trademe? I got it off there yesterday night :D $40NZD. I am more of a NZ Painter than a gamer not played the game yet but thinking about giving it ago when I finish painting an army. but yeah man heaps more NZ people should play!. It is really hard finding someone to even play against in Auckland-Henderson area. Unless I ask a games workshop staff member to teach me or something.

I feel your pain a bit on lack of gamers. It's probably a little better here but there are no "gaming clubs" or anything here. There are a few comic shops in the area that host some games but they're all games like Magic cards and the like. No good tabletop war-gaming places (that I've found anyways)

Both of you are going to have to push the game in your are. You're going to have to get two small forces and demo games for people. Finding places may seem difficult at first but you can do it at your or a friends house for your friends or colleges are good too. :frodo:
