I might have to look into airbrushing but i wouldn't really no where to start

I use mine simply for base coating and quick highlighting. I got a cheap compressor and airbrush:

I have the ELEPHANT COMPRESSOR.
The airbrush does well enough, I upgraded eventually.

Basically don't buy the GW flamer thing, that is a spray gun and is more hassle than it's worth for such a simple piece of tubing!

With airbrushes the most common reason for it not working is that it's not clean, or the paint isn't thin enough. As long as you keep it clean its easy peasy.

Been quiet recently... As usual!
I've posted up what I've been up to in the Warhammer section

However in a couple of week my store is running a Lotr campaign, it's around the time of The Hobbit, so I'll be taking Dwarves! I purchased a Finecast Dain and Balin today, some pictures later that will hopefully win over those anti-finecast folk

So this guy has had very little clean up, basically stuck him to the rock and that's it. His axe needs a clean, but other than that he is very crisp. Remember the photos are waaay larger than life, so you can see sculpting faults over casting faults!

Great job on the Glorfindel!!
The Dain looks to have alot of issues with the cast...especially on the left side of his face (looks like it didn't fill in all the way). I like how you put him on a rock...very cool! I hope he turns out as nice as your Glorfindel did!

There are NO issues with the cast, that's sculpting

Not even primed

Been super busy with University work and other stuff, I'm 5 days behind on my painting schedule for Fantasy tournament army.. and I underestimated the time needed on the current unit, so barely any time for Lotr

I'llget him done for the stores campaign though

Well I managed to get my Doubles armies painted, so now I'm going to come back to the Dwarves for a while, finish them off with the old paints

Played a game today, Corsairs against Easterlings, I got stomped on! Lords of battle 25 vp's to 15 vp's.

Need to figure out my lists and tactics for the new scenarios I think!

wow I really love your Easterling captain conversion as well as your Rumil one, they both look like GW sculpts!
You have done a really good job on your uruk drummer too, Groblog also looks better imo as you have made him, instead of clinging onto that huge pillar.

I've been having a clear out, the Easterlings have now gone to a good home (and stomped on my Corsairs today..) as have the Wood Elves, (the Galadrihim are still here).

I might be having a clear out of some other stuff soon, so keep an eye out!

Played with the Dwarves against the Easterlings today.

I had:

Dain,
Balin
Kings champion and his heralds
15 Khazard guard

He had:
Amdur
Dragon Knight
Priest
Lots of shields and Pikes, all upgraded to be black dragons.

Mission was Domination, with my force being quite small I couldnt spare dwarves to sit on objectives, so I went for just murdering the Easterlings instead, managed to contest an objective (1vp?) and kill the leader (3vp) and break his force (1vp). I was also broken, but my leader was fine and he had no objectives.
