Thanks Sid!
I haven't done a whole lot of painting recently, I've been a bit busy. I did start on a king of men today though, I got some more basing stuff to try out and thought this would be a good model to test it on. I hope to finish it soon, so watch out for pics soon.

Well photobucket doesn't seem to want to upload my pictures but I've got a few to upload. So I guess this is a bit of a teaser. Hopefully I can post the rest soon.

The mounted dragon knight has so far been the worst finecast mini I have. There were several small bubbles and some gaps, including one in the left hand. The worst though was the sword in his left hand, it was mangled and horrible looking. I did my best to fix it, but I somehow missed the gap in the hand. It is a pretty sweet model though. Just takes some work to make it presentable.
Please, c&c welcome.

All of the stuff here you have done is brilliant, especially love the dwarf lords a few pages back, their cloaks are sublime :). Your easterling kataphrakts are looking good and the dragon knight is coming along nicely. Keep up the good work and continue to post such nice pictures of all your wonderful figures :)

Great Painting as usual POW. You have a natural talent of making your figures look extremely real.

One thing I would suggest if i may - when using the long strands of field grass before you cut the length you want to use on your base pull a little at the end you are not glueing so that the top of the grass is not all the same length. add glue to the bottom and attatch to base. While the glue is still wet take a pointed object (i use a sculpting tool) and tease the grass in slightly different directions - eperiment with it.

Well done bud - awesome as ever!

And one more thing. Try painting your grass. First let the glue dry completely then I use a watered down dark colour of your choice and put a drop / brushful into the grass and let it dry. Next up, drybrush the ends of the grass with a lighter colour.
It's simple to do but very effective.

Thanks guys, I'll take any advice I can get. I'll definitely give both suggestions a try.
I'll try and post an update sometime this week, we'll see.
Feel free to say anything else.

Well photobucket is being annoying again, so I can't upload all of the pics I wanted, but here are some that I was able to upload.

I saw a picture on CMoN of a haradrim warrior painted similar to this and I thought it looked really cool, so I thought I'd give it a go. It's still obviously a wip, but I'm happy with it so far. The blending isn't very good unfortunately , I got a bit impatient
Let me know what you think.

Looking good dso far. The blue cloth's final hilight should be blended in a bit better imo, but other than that it's looking good so far.

That is looking so much better. Highlights and shading done very nicely and there seems some very nice blending. Great work

I'm really happy with how they both turned out, I think I may go with this color scheme for the rest of my haradrim, I like it a lot!
I would love to hear what you all think too!

The haradrim looks good, and the base is nice too, but you missed some mold lines!

So, I just got some haradrim raiders, and can't wait to get started on them, but first I need to choose which color scheme to go with. I personally am leaning towards the blue one, but I also like the red one. I would greatly appreciate everyones opinion on this, I honestly don't know what to go with.
Here are the two schemes.

Thanks in advance

I think the blue, it is much more striking than the red and also an unusual scheme.
That base on the second figure is excellent.

Hey all, just wanted to pop in and let you all know I'm still around, and still painting. I haven't been able to paint a whole lot, but I thought I'd give you guys a sneak peek of what I've been working on while I was waiting for the poll to finish.

Still needs lots of work, I'm trying to especially focus on blending. More pics soon.

That blending is looking very very smooth. It takes a great deal of effort and no shortage of skill to hit this level, great work mate.
