The prototype is painted. However, I am not entirely satisfied with it. perhaps it is only because it is not broke but I'll probably still try a little.  But I've also done something productive. I have started with a new part. I have a few old previous projects in the attic found, and therefore bears the hall the new sounding name "Dragon grave" to the columns, there's a small building instructions from me: http://forum.tabletop-hdr.de/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28599

the 12 columns which the dragons grave surround are finished  Next, I will distribute a few skeletons and debris. Besides, I've got two new columns built which will adorn the sides of the main path / staircases.   it's not much, but it's something new I want to come briefly to speak on the topic of stairs. many say that stairs are not very practical in the game. right! but I thought it would fit very well to Moria and I have also tried to make the stairs playable.

as some meant that the railing is too ornate and complicated pattern, and that it acts more Elvish than dwarven and because I myself was not entirely happy I again sat down and tried other variants. and I think I've got it! in the style of Moria quite simply:  and because I was motivated I've also made a small portal. as a template, I have taken one of the portals out of the film where Gandalf did not knowthe way  i hope you like it |

There is a way of facilitating battles on realistic stairs - make small reverse images of the steps just big enough to take the 25mm round base for standard minis or the 40mm for trolls etcetera. Turn them upside down and you have a flat base that the mini sits on comfortably. It means the diorama aspect is not lost for gaming practicality but at the same time you can still game on it with minis falling or being knocked over too easily (I hope). |

It's coming along nicely. Constructing buildings is something I miss about this hobby, maybe i'll have a go at it again some time. |
