Nice. Imagine the relief you will feel once the last scale is put into place. :D

That's right, Greg.

Smaug the Eternal WIP.

The bits I do not like at the moment, are his neck scales. They are the first scales that I sculpted, over a year ago, and I was learning a lot about technique. Since then, I have sculpted many, many scales and the style of scale is now quite different to those initial ones. The new work on the his chest is about to join up with the original work and where it does, it looks a bit odd.

To you, I guess it's no big deal.

To me, it's wrong.

Curse of the Perfectionist. :-X

These latest pics are looking really great! You'd probably already posted pictures of the belly scales, but I guess I missed them before, because I'm really impressed with how well they turn out.

I can't wait to see this one finished and painted. Have you thought of a color scheme yet? I'm assuming you'll want to steer away from green

Amazing sculpting! I'd never have the patience (or the talent for that matter) to do even ten scales, but you're doing fantastic! Keep it up!

Er, no. No special pleasure gained there, Corsair... :? I tried to make it realistic, but not too much of a focus. So, it's clear what gender the dragon is but it's not over-the-top. Enough said.

A bit more work done on the left flank, moving towards the shoulders.
